Easter is a celebration of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But how many children know why Jesus died and came to life again? This illustrated devotional contains 28 lessons—one for each day of the four weeks leading up to Easter—in a short, focused format designed to help parents show the Christ of Easter to their children.

Praise for Why Easter?:

“To grasp the timeless story of the resurrection is to open one’s heart to a life-change that will last for all of eternity. This is why I am so excited about Why Easter? Using the familiar teaching tools of reading, discussion, singing, and memorizing, Barbara Reaoch employs every means possible to illuminate Christ’s resurrection to thirsty young hearts and minds. The lessons are deep, true, fascinating, and insightful—I heartily recommend this remarkable book to children’s leaders, parents, and teachers; most of all, I recommend Why Easter? to every child!”
—Joni Earickson Tada

“Since most Evangelicals do not follow the church calendar, Easter often catches us unprepared. Barbara Reaoch comes to our aid with a four-week series of devotionals for parents and children that will increase our sense of joy at Easter. These devotionals are well-crafted, theologically sound, and doable. They could be used year after year as a wonderful family tradition.”
—Tedd Tripp

Why Christmas? by Barbara ReaochWhy do we celebrate Christmas? Most children do not know the true answer to that question or why God sent Jesus to live on earth. Why Christmas? is a helpful devotional with Scripture reading, memory verse, Christmas carol and questions to direct your child’s heart towards God. The readings, which begin on the first day of December, are Biblical, short, and effective. Colorful illustrations illuminate the events of the incarnation. This book will provide parents with the assistance they desire for leading their child to the Christ of Christmas.

A captivating retelling of the Christmas story showing how God kept His promise to send a new King. Superb illustrations by Catalina Echeverri and faithful, Bible-centered story-telling by Alison Mitchell combine to make this a book that both parents and children will love.

His Kids United Christmas Vol. 1 Book Cover His Kids United Christmas Vol. 1
Jimmy Swan
Christmas Music
His Kids United
October 14, 2014

Parents of four themselves, His Kids United founders Jimmy and Mai Swan recognized a gap in the supply of uplifting Christian music kids can truly appreciate. A labor of love transformed the best of CCM into an album with which their own children would quickly fall in love.

"Up until now, there have been no other products like His Kids United CDs," says Jimmy Swan, executive producer of the project. "Why wouldn't parents want to invest in positive Christian music for their children? And while the music is focusing on kids ages 5 to 14, we're finding that young adults and even parents enjoy listening to the music, too!"

Proceeds of His Kids United Volume One CDs benefit the Dallas Neighborhood Art & Music School—also known as NAMS School of Music—where all of the tracks are recorded and produced with NAMS students performing on the series.

Swan felt it was paramount to have a consistent group of kids performing on the series, and his friendship with the school's director, Levi Bradford, made the collaboration a natural fit.

"Kids listen to kids," says Swan. "Parents are careful to teach their kids about 'stranger danger.' When an adult approaches a kid, they tend to get shy. But the minute another kid enters the room, there is an instant connection. As a parent, I want to impact my kids with spiritual messages and let them rejoice in the Lord. What is the best way to do this? Let them connect with their peers!"

"Our mission with this series is to give kids an opportunity to be encouraged, inspired and drawn to the Lord through the powerful tool of music, and give them something to relate to," Swan says.
