“I can see this book being used as a tool within the home and even in a church setting for further study.  The illustrations are simply beautiful and will definitely engage the attention of small children.”

“There are so many possibilities for this short story that it is very exciting. Younger children will enjoy the fun story and adventure of little Timothy the fish and the beautiful full color illustrations. Older children can be led in discussions about faith, trust, the sovereignty and provision of God, omniscience, and even Timothy of the New Testament and how he was raised to love and follow God by his mother and grandmother.”

“What I thought was the best thing about this story is that, when the child who has read this story, reads the story of Peter finding the coin in the fishes mouth – the Bible will come alive for them.”

“We need more books for children that illustrate the truth of God’s Word and encourage joyful obedience. Books like this are valued treasures for both parents & children.”

“The fact that parents can then explain the Scriptures behind the story, Scriptures the story is carefully woven from, make it a wonderful reading experience!

I have a feeling that Timothy: A Little Fish with a Big Purpose is going to be a “Read-it-Again!” children’s book.”

“Even a small fish in the waters of the Sea of Galilee can be used to bring about the miracles of the Lord Jesus.  No task is too small for faithfulness and obedience to run its course.  I heartily recommend this book to children and even to adults who want to read to their children.”

“It takes a pretty imaginative mind to think of a back-story to the fish with a coin in its mouth! Brad Riley pulls off an intriguing yet captivating tale with a moral. The illustrations by Krystahl Goodale are bright and fresh, and the result is a captivating picture book with a story that will interest adult readers.”

“This little fish has a very similar life to that of Timothy that is mentioned many times in the Bible. The author did a fascinating job with the subject line. The story instantly drew my children in and made them want to learn more about the Bible story itself. I really enjoyed the colorful illustrations, they definitely made the book come alive even more.”

“The story is fictional, but it is an extremely important lesson for our children to learn and for adults to be reminded of. When we walk in obedience, it is easier for God to use us in the plans He has laid out. I could easily see this book being used as a foundation for several activities with kids in a home or church setting.”

“This is a beautiful & simple story that will illustrate to children that obedience is important & that it matters to God.”

“Timothy is an obedient fish who minds his mother and grandmother, and this is surely one truth that can be pulled from the story. But I think an even greater truth is the fact that in this story as well as the teaching that it comes out from the Bible we see that God is in control of all of nature as well as mankind. We see Jesus show His divinity by displaying His power over nature and directing Peter to this fish that has the coin in its mouth. In our story, Timothy is that fish, who is used by God to bring about His purposes. ”
