A few weeks ago, Attic Books, an imprint of New Leaf Publishing, sent me two new titles in their classic biography series.
I already had their Life of Luther, and shared the book trailer for that book over at my personal blog. This time they sent me Life of Andrew Jackson and Life of John Knox.
The video trailers for these books will draw you in, to the life stories of these great men; but let me describe the books briefly. The book on Knox was originally published by the American Sunday School Union in 1833, and the Jackson title was published back in 1850. Both titles have an antique feel from the frayed page edges to the title pages and type-set looking font. The Jackson book is nearly 400 pages long, but Knox’s life is told in 140 pages. Still, the larger font and small page size means both books should make for easy reads.
